The home of Ballina Honey is Honeyvale Farm at McLeans Ridges in the beautiful Northern Rivers of NSW, Australia. Luke and I have always shared a deep commitment to regenerative farming and living a life which brings us closer to our natural environment. There is no better feeling on earth than strolling through an orchard in the early sunshine munching on mulberries, peaches and cherries straight off the tree. Bees are a match made in heaven for this- our amazing girls pollinate around two out of every three mouthfuls of food, plus making their own amazing products like propolis and beeswax. We had been beekeeping for over 10 years when we met Bec and Rob, who wanted to move on to other projects after building up Ballina Honey for over a decade. We share their ethos of small batch honey made raw and natural, just the way honey should be. We have recently been joined by our trainee Michael, who is studying Regenerative Agriculture at Southern Cross University as well as his Certificate 3 in Beekeeping. Follow us on socials to see what we get up to! If we haven’t met you yet catch up with us at Alstonville markets.
We are firm believers that farms are here to produce more than just food: our mission is to have a farm which provides for our environment, our community and our family.
